Ulta Beauty celebrated the official opening of its newest distribution center in Dallas on Wednesday after completing construction last month. The new 700,000 square-foot facility is the company’s largest distribution center and is expected to bring in more than 500 new jobs to North Texas by 2018.  “This is an exciting day for Ulta Beauty. Our talented team that we have already built here in Dallas is great so far, and with this new facility, we look forward to further establishing our role as a responsible corporate citizen and engaged member of the community,” said the CEO of Ulta Beauty, Mary Dillon.

Daniel and wife drove up for the Frisco Career Transition Workshop

Good morning to all.

Sorry for the delay in sending my appreciation for the time you all gave to the Frisco Career Transition Workshop.

My wife and I drove up from Houston to participate in the seminar.

It was wonderful, and we both learned something.

My resume now looks spectacular, and I have had a few interviews.

Thank you, Rex.

My wife and I have passed along several things we learned to our fellow BJMers (Between Job Ministry)  here in Spring, TX.

Have a wonderful week and a great holiday weekend.

Counteroffer Advice

I have a question that I hope you can answer for me. I am an established hotel director of sales; one and a half years ago, I was offered a job by a company; they even agreed to raise the salary for me, which I accepted.

Upon my resignation from my job, my employer offered to match the other salary. I believe the reason for this was, in part, due to the fact that the general manager of my hotel resigned the same day that I did.

I contacted the hiring manager, who made the job offer, and explained my situation to him. I felt a loyal obligation to stay, in order to prevent my company any hardship, as a result of losing their top two managers.

I have heard from a friend, who works for the hiring manager, that I have blown any chances of working for him, or the company, in the future. This company just posted an area director of sales position that I am prefect for. My question is: How should I go about making my interest known.
