I have held off on this announcement until I was completely sure….

In March 2020, I was laid off from North Texas Therapy partners. They are a great organization and my boss, Aaron Dudley, was amazing both as a therapist and supervisor. However patient volume was low due to COVID and I was the last man hired. I spent the summer of 2020 selling my house, moving my kids and getting resettled in an apartment.

I started posting the Joke of the Day in the spring of 2020 and in the fall of 2020 was rehired by Supplemental Healthcare. They are a top notch healthcare contracting company I worked with before Marty’s death and then again later. My recruiter, Nolan Bryan is the best! Please contact him if you’re thinking of being a contract therapist in DFW.

I promised to post the joke of the day until I had a full text time physical therapy position again. Little did I know the journey I was embarking on…. I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly of the Texas therapy world as a contractor.

I loved Hennepin Healthcare with all my heart and the friends I made there I will have forever. I didn’t think that the experience I had there could be topped. However, I am BEYOND excited to say that I am joining Baylor, Scott and White tomorrow (October 11). I will treat an ortho/neuro caseload. This allows me to return full time to a job I love that is part of my heart and soul. Thank you to Christel Johnson, Brandie Owen and Nicole Rodman for taking a chance on me. I don’t think you’ll regret it.

Texas friends in Southlake/Grapevine/Colleyville! If you or a friend/family member have aches, pains, weakness or mobility difficulties, let us work with you on your goals to get better. My co-workers and I are the A-Team.

This feels like the end of an epic journey. Some who have followed the whole story, may say “You deserve this.” Maybe, but I will respond that I am SO GRATEFUL. Thanks to all who have supported me along the way.

I have accepted a contract to hire position of Sr. International Project Manager with Top Golf HQ in Dallas.  I will be working to establish and set up TG sites in countries around the world.  Hopefully with a little international travel mixed in.  I’m doing my on-boarding paperwork today and will start next Monday 27 September.  I will provide donuts with my first paycheck!

I will do my best to make every networking event I can to continue to try and help others.

I want to thank all of you for what you do, what you have done for me, and what you continue to do for others.

I have good news to share. I have landed! Last week on Tuesday the 24th I received an offer and accepted. The background check and everything else is complete and I start tomorrow, Wednesday the 1st. I was waiting to say something until everything was completed. I will be joining The Apparel Group, LTD. also known as The Apparel Logistics Group.

They are in Lewisville/The Colony. It is a 3PL apparel logistics company. I will be joining as Senior Manager – Finance. I cannot thank you enough for all of your support, encouragement, enthusiasm, resources, etc. It was invaluable. No…I didn’t do everything I was supposed to do (couldn’t take the BombBomb plunge but was close), but I did do a lot. I won’t be attending any network meetings anymore since I won’t be able to pull away from the job so I will have to stay engaged somehow.

I am going to notify a couple of my pods, but feel free to pass along the good news on your show for example. I don’t want anyone to ever hesitate to reach out to me who is on the job search. I will help others in anyway that I can. God bless you all and the work you do. Foster – I hope you are recovering nicely.

I finally landed 3 weeks ago. I started coming to SFG in January 2020. Since than had couple “donut holes” short jobs or nothing. I and my family was struggling during that time but God is faithful and without rain there is no rainbow. I finally landed the “whole donut” 

Participating in the SFG “activities” was very helpful and I can say that I was able to use skills I learned during the networking time and other SFG training.

I got the interview opportunity from my friend’s friend…

I work for IT/Technology company and my title is Administrative Assistant however one of my responsibilities is Helping RECRUITMENT department. I just sent couple job openings and will be sending more to SFG.

Since 2 minutes is really really short when on stage at SFG – plus I knew Jerry was checking my speech speed …- I wanted to send you a more personal note.  I’ve heard about SFG a year ago by a friend, Cathy Anwyl, and then back in November by my bank adviser at Chase but none of these were the right time I guess.

I finally joined in January and I’m so glad I did! Thank you all for your dedication to us, “people in transition”, without you I’m not sure where I’ll be today in my job search.  Thank you for your constant optimism, your kindness, your advises and your tremendous patience and commitment to our success.  Thank you Jeff for all the very useful and empowering workshops at CareerDFW and CareerUSA. 

Thank you Foster for the immediate connections to whoever you feel will help! I’m so happy to start on Monday after 9 years out of the workforce and 0 professional experience in the US. And I’m happy to start low and at Advantage Solutions, I believe this is exactly where I need to be now! We’ll see in a few months …

I have GREAT NEWS! 

I landed!

I’ve been quite about it and here’s  why. 

I was doubly blessed. I accepted an offer with 

PPG Industries on June 4th in their Architectural Coatings group! The very next day I was blessed with the opportunity interview with a company called Caesarstone. I went through 4 interviews over 6 weeks. I found out that did not get the role this past Friday. 

All that said, I started with PPG Industries on June 28th! Their a great company with a lot of room to advance! They are hiring! Let me know if anyone is looking for Account Manager roles in the construction or paint and Coatings Industries and I can help connect them with a decision maker!  

Also, I will make a video and send to y’all next week to use as you see fit! I miss you guys very much!

I was selected to be a cadet in a paid Cloud Security program put together by Palo Alto Networks.

After 8 months of training I will be given the opportunity to be a Cloud Security Engineer for Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud product.

I just wanted to quickly update you on where I am at, as I have been a little all over the place with attending SFG in the last few weeks. That is because I got a job!

I have been in talks with them over the last few weeks, and I officially signed the contract last week. I will be a Systems Engineer at Raytheon in the McKinney and Dallas sites.

I haven’t been given an official start date, but I believe that it will either be the 31st of May or the 14th of June, so I am getting packed up and moving to Texas ASAP!  Thank you to you and the rest of the team for helping me with this! I really appreciate everything that you all offer and all of the people that I was able to meet through this.
